Interdisciplinary Studies on the Mediterranean
→ OPEN ACCESS VERSION
Aims & Scope
I.S. Med aims at filling a gap in research by producing an interdisciplinary dialogue about the Mediterranean in the modern and contemporary eras. The Mediterranean is here understood as a geo-cultural space spanning across national borders and expressed in humanities, social studies, art, media, pop culture, socio-linguistics and creative writing. The journal gathers contributions through an annual symposium and specific call for papers for special issues. It releases two issues per year, available online and in physical copies printed on-demand. All papers undergo double blind peer-review. The scientific committee is international, interdisciplinary and it currently features the following scholars and professionals:
Giovanna Summerfield, Auburn University (USA)
Rosario Pollicino, University of South Carolina (USA) (editors)
Mehraneh Ebrahimi, York University (CAN) (book/media review editor)
